Day 2: Sun World Ba Na Hills – Hoi An Ancient Town

Sun World Ba Na Hills is a must-visit destination for any traveler.

A trip to Da Nang isn’t complete without visiting Sun World Ba Na Hills, located just 25 km away from the city. You can get there by taking the park’s shuttle bus or by renting a private car. This amusement park has four main areas: the mountain foot, Ba Na cable car station, Morin cable car station, and the summit. Highlights include the Golden Bridge, French and European village replicas, and lively festivals throughout the year. The cable car ride, one of the world’s most impressive, is a must-do.

Step into a charming slice of classic and romantic “little France” at Sun World Ba Na Hills.

Must-try experiences include riding the cable car, exploring little French and European villages, enjoying amusement rides, and taking photos at the Golden Bridge. Depending on the time of year, you can also enjoy vibrant festivals such as the Flower Festival (February to March), Summer Carnival (May to September), Wine Festival (May), and Winter Carnival (November to December).

The cable car system here was also voted as one of the 10 most impressive cable car lines in the world.

There are plenty of on-site restaurants for meals. If you want a unique experience, stay overnight at the classic French-style hotel in Ba Na Hills.

Don’t forget to snap some amazing photos of the scenery here for your socials.

Check the weather before you go, as it can vary between the mountain base and summit. Leave early to snap stunning photos of the Golden Bridge without the crowds.

After a fun day at Ba Na Hills, head to nearby Hoi An, located only 30 km away from Da Nang. Known for its well-preserved Ancient Town, Hoi An offers a charming atmosphere with its yellow-painted buildings adorned with colorful lanterns. Choose to stay in the old town for its historical significance, nearby hostels for a budget-friendly stay, or private villas near An Bang Beach for a serene coastal retreat.
